Joe Trunk
Joseph Trunk is an Associate at Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP. He focuses his practice on toxic torts, product liability, premises liability, and personal injury cases. He has significant experience litigating asbestos-related cases. Prior to joining Meirowitz & Wasserberg, Joseph spent multiple years as an associate at another Chicago plaintiff’s law firm representing individuals in complex toxic tort and product liability matters from the discovery phrase through trial. He has extensive experience in oral and written pretrial discovery, as well as significant experience in the courtroom and in front of a jury.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics with a concentration in Public Policy and Law from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Brigid Mary McGrath, (Ret.).
Outside of his regular practice, Joseph volunteers with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, representing Chicago clients in pro bono probate and family law matters. He is actively involved in the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
